Invada Playlists #5: Gazelle Twin
Our next guest is Gazelle Twin.
Gazelle Twin is the creation of UK based composer, producer, and musician, Elizabeth Bernholz.
Known for her conceptual albums, such as Pastoral (2018), Kingdom Come (2017), and Unflesh (2014), she often presents dystopian themes through electronic production and extraordinary live performances, which feature changing personas.

Here are some words from Gazelle Twin about her Selections:
Pretty much throughout my life, in any circumstance - pandemic, or not - I’ve needed to hear or make music that articulates either a deep sense of dread, or total dread relief. Quite often, it’s both at same time. We all have our own ways of purging heavy feelings and self-medicating, and for me, music is like trepanning for anxiety.
This playlist includes some of my longest-standing musical obsessions. It’s 2hrs of music from all over the place; time and origin, but connected in mood. It follows a steady course, beginning in bleak intensity, entering into a place of warmth and resolve. It’s the best ending I can engineer in this time of global turmoil.
